A disc brake-specific carbon fiber tubular wheel designed from the ground up to be the ultimate cyclocross racing hoop.
The ENVE CX disc specific carbon fiber tubular is designed for cyclocross racers looking for the ultimate in cyclocross race performance. As such, the tire bed has been developed for use with 33mm tires and is capable of withstanding frequent tire installations and removals. The shape of the tire bed has been further refined to reduce the instance of pinch flats. The ENVE CX rim is 28mm wide and 31mm deep. Because the ENVE CX is disc brake specific it does not feature a brake track and cannot be used with rim brakes. One of the great benefits of developing a rim for disc brake specific use is that the engineering team is no longer bound by the constraints caused by braking on the rim. The result is a rim that is substantially lighter and more compliant without sacrificing the strength or impact resistance of the rim. The ENVE CX tubular rims come in a 28 hole count only to maintain an optimal degree of stiffness and strength required for the frequent accelerations and decelerations that define cyclocross racing. Each ENVE CX cyclocross tubular is proudly manufactured in the USA.
Enve SES 2.2
CARBON FIBER WHEELSET
An SES featured climbing wheel featuring the latest in ENVE brake track technology, available as a tubeless clincher or tubular
The Smart ENVE System 2.2 is the ultimate climbing wheel with aerodynamic properties that refine stability in the most extreme wind and weather conditions. As such, lightweight trumps drag reduction with the SES 2.2. The SES 2.2 underwent in-frame development in the Mercedes GP-Petronas wind tunnel in order to define the final shape of the rim. Unlike the other SES wheel sets, the SES 2.2 features the same rim geometry front to rear whereas its SES counterparts have dissimilar rim width and depth front to rear in order to maximize aerodynamic efficiency. In terms of tire fitment, the SES 2.2 is developed to be used with 25mm tires and the clincher version of the rims is tubeless compatible. Because the SES 2.2 is designed to be ridden through the mountains, it was important up the performance levels of our molded brake track texture technology. As such, the SES 2.2 is the first SES rim to feature our new molded in brake track texture. This new brake track texture improves braking performance by as much as 30% over the previous brake track and performs as well in wet conditions as it does in dry. Each SES 2.2 wheel set includes 2 pair of our new black brake pads which have been specially formulated to improve braking power, modulation, and wet weather performance. The combination of the new brake track and black brake pad compound deliver the ultimate in rim brake technology. The SES 2.2 debuted in the pro peloton at the 2015 Tour de France under Team Dimension Data (formerly Team MTN-Qhubeka).
Enve SES 3.4 DISC
SES 3.4 DISC
Since its introduction in 2009, the Smart ENVE System 3.4 Disc has established itself as ENVE?s most versatile and consequently most popular carbon fiber aero road wheelset amongst road cyclists of all abilities. The SES 3.4 Disc is wider than its predecessor (29mm wide external, 21mm internal) to improve rolling resistance and improve aerodynamics for use with 25mm tires. In addition to added width, the versatile and reliable nature of the SES 3.4 Disc has been augmented by incorporating road tubeless tire compatibility. Road tubeless compatibility means improved rolling resistance, comfort, traction, and a reduced propensity for flat tires. Like all SES Disc wheel models, the SES 3.4 Disc features dissimilar rim shapes and geometries between front and back wheels to maximize aerodynamic efficiency and rideability in variable weather conditions. The front rim is 38mm deep and shallower than the rear rim to aid in cross wind stability while rear rim is 42mm deep and therefore improves overall airflow attachment. The SES 3.4 Disc features a disc brake specific carbon fiber rim design. In other words, this is not simply a rim brake model with no brake track. Each SES Disc rim features a disc brake specific laminate to ensure optimal performance on disc brake equipped road, cyclocross, and triathlon bicycles. As a result of disc brake specific engineering the SES 3.4 Disc is substantially lighter than its rim brake counterpart but equally as stiff and impact resistant. This is accomplished because we are able to deploy the carbon fiber that previously served the requirements for heat management to now serve the requirements for stiffness and durability. On the road the SES 3.4 Disc accelerates quickly thanks to reduced rim weight and inspires confidence in mountainous terrain and variable weather conditions.
Mavic Aksium Elite
The Aksium Elite introduces aspiring road riders to many of the performance features that make a Mavic wheel system unique.
The rim is updated with a wider 17mm internal width for a smooth ride quality.
Straight-pull bladed spokes improve stiffness and strength.
And the hubs are built with our QRM bearings and axle system, which is key to the Aksium Elite’s smoothness and durability.
Over the years, Aksium Elite has become a popular choice for training. And our 25mm Yksion Elite Guard road tires are also a great choice for training. Made with a 120 TPI casing, they offer the right balance of low rolling resistance and all-round grip that’s perfect for long rides in variable weather and road conditions. They also feature a strong nylon anti-puncture belt, protecting the tread and sidewalls from punctures and side cuts. At 230g (25mm), they are among the lightest all-season tires and a perfect match for the dynamic ride quality of the Aksium Elite.
Roval CLX 32
Our CLX 32 wheelset lets you have your cake and eat it too. It combines a lightweight 390-gram rim (clincher) with an aerodynamic shape that outperforms wheels twice its depth, and it features a strong, tubeless-ready design that’s durable enough for cyclocross.
With a big enough wallet, you can get carbon that's as strong as alloy, but when strength, performance, and budget are at an even keel, nothing beats our SLX 24. It's a disc-only alloy number that features most of what you want from carbon, like low weight, high rigidity, and a clean aesthetic, only with the durability required for everyday use.
